Anish Sarkar becomes youngest rated chess player at 3 years old

 The chess world has welcomed its youngest ever rated player in Anish Sarkar, who has attained a FIDE rating of 1555 after competing in West Bengal State Under-13 Open. A week before, he scored 5.5 points out of 8 to finish 24th in the West Bengal State Under-9 Open. His accomplishments have garnered immense attention and praise, the most notable of which being a commendation by Anand Mahindra, who wrote on X:
