FAQ

The first and foremost difference is that your students will login to your academy/club website for training and playing activities, and not Chesslang.com.

Chesslang is a platform for chess academies. An all-in-one Swiss army knife with tools that help you with training your students, conducting tournaments, storing games, managing multiple coaches, and much more in a box.

With Chesslang’s Classroom, you can conduct individual or group classes and stay connected with your students through the built-in audio-video call. The real-time chessboard and tools to highlight squares, draw arrows, highlight pawn structures, etc. help you in teaching your students effectively. You can also send animated expressions, ask your students questions, and reward them with points to boost engagement.

Yes, you can conduct online tournaments for your academy students in multiple formats: Swiss, Quad, and Team. We also support 3 rating systems: FIDE, USCF, and an internal ELO rating system for your academy. After the ratings are set, the players will be seeded accordingly.

You can set the official USCF ID for your academy students and then sync their live USCF ratings with just a click of a button. Upon the tournament completion, you can download the DBF file of the tournament and then submit the tournament report by logging in to the USCF TD/Affiliate Support Area.

Students can attend your online classes, play casual games and tournaments, solve homework, practice positions, blindfold chess, etc. – all this from your academy website.

Chesslang offers free mobile app to any coach/academy with 10 or more students

On an average, students take classes once or twice a week. You might be sharing tactics to solve as homework during academy off days either through email or WhatsApp or sometimes in papers.

With Chesslang, you can share homework and students can solve them within the platform. Bonus, you can track all the right and wrong responses of the students, along with the time taken for each attempt. See the trend of how your students are solving over time.

With Chesslang’s public LIVE, all the live games of your academy tournaments and simuls will be broadcasted in a public live page. Best of all, you can configure the public live page, add your academy logo and branding elements, promote your upcoming events – which will be seen by parents and others when they visit your site to watch the games live.

We will provide a website free of cost for Gold, Platinum and Diamond subscriptions (refer to the pricing section to know more). You can take a look at the websites we built for chess academies and federations around the world – click here
